The Lok Sabha session reconvenes for its second week on Monday, with debates on crucial topics such as the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) paper leaks and the Agnipath scheme set to take center stage.
Friday’s proceedings in the Lok Sabha were disrupted until July 1 amid uproar, as the Congress pressed for a discussion on the NEET issue before the Motion of Thanks. The INDIA bloc affirmed its intention to address this matter during Monday’s session.
Speaker Om Birla and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju had informed opposition members that they could address the matter during the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address. Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi said the NEET issue is a very important issue for the whole country and advocated for a dedicated discussion in the House, arguing for the acceptance of an adjournment motion.
