India closed out the day with 24 medals as Harvinder claimed the men’s open recurve gold, while Sachin took silver in the shot put event. The men’s club throw athletes Dharambir and Pranav Soorma claimed the gold-silver double in the men’s f51 event.

India added four medals to their name on Wednesday as archer Harvinder Singh snatched the headlines with a magnificent gold-winning performance in the men’s open recurve event, while shot put athlete Sachin Khilari claimed silver in his event.

India closed out the day with 24 medals as the men’s club throw athletes Dharambir and Pranav Soorma claimed the gold-silver double in the men’s f51 event.

India Results at the Paris Paralympics, September 4 (Wednesday):

Para Archery: Men’s recurve open: Harvinder Singh claimed the yellow metal in stunning fashion as he breezed past Lukasz Ciszek of Poland in the final with a score of 6-0. He also got the better of Aarb Ameri Mohammad Reza in the semis, Hector Julio Ramirez in the quarters, and Tseng Lung-hui earlier in the day en route to his magnificent triumph.

Para Athletics: Men’s shot put F46 Final – Sachin Sarjerao Khilari’s AR of 16.32m helped him bag the silver medal, while Mohd Yasser came in 8th with a best of 14.21m, and Rohit Kumar finished 9th with 14.10m.

Para Athletics: Men’s club throw F51 Final – Dharambir bagged the yellow metal with an AR of 34.92, followed by Pranav Soorma, who came in second with a best effort of 34.59 to take the silver. Amit Kumar had a rather forgettable day as refinished 10th with a best attempt of 23.96.

Para Cycling: Men’s C2 Individual Road Time Trial Final – Arshad Shaik finished with a time of 25:20.11 to come in 11th.

Para Cycling: Women’s C1-3 Individual Road Time Trial Final – Jyoti Gaderiya clocked 30:00.16 to finish 16th.

Para Shooting: Mixed 50m pistol SH1 Qualifier – Nihal Singh scored 522 to finish 19th, while Rudransh Khandelwal scored 517 to come in 22nd.

Para Table Tennis: Women’s singles class 4 Quarter-finals – Bhavina Patel went down to China’s Zhou Ying 1-3 (12- 14, 9-11, 11-8, 6-11).

Para Athletics: Women’s shot put F46 Final – Amisha Rawat produced a PB of 9.25m to finish 14th.

Para Powerlifting: Men’s 49kg Final – Parmjeet Kumar registered a successful lift of 150 Kg to finish 8th.

Para Archery: Men’s recurve 1/16 Elimination Round – Harvinder Singh beat Tseng Lung-hui 7-3 to move into the 1/8 elimination round.

Para Archery: Men’s recurve 1/8 Elimination Round – Harvinder Singh beat 6-2 to seal a QF berth.

Para Powerlifting: Women’s 45kg Final – Sakina Khatun posted a successful lift of 86 Kg to come in 7th.

Para Athletics: Women’s 100m T12 Heat – Simran finished at the top of her heat to qualify for the semifinals with a timing of 12.17 seconds.
