Indian archer Harvinder Singh clinched gold with his win over Lukasz Ciszek of Poland in the final of the men’s individual recurve open at the Paris Paralympics 2024 on Wednesday to add to the nation’s record-breaking medal tally.

Singh had an incredible run at the quadrennial in France as he blazed his way through the field en route to the medal to help the archery contingent rope in yet another piece of silverware.

Harvinder began his day with a commanding 7-3 win over Lung-Hui Tseng of Chinese Taipei in the 1/16 eliminator round of the event before dominating Indonesia’s Setiwan in the 1/8 elimination round in quick fashion.

He posted an identical result in the quarterfinal fixture against Colombian Hector Julio Ramirez to move into the semifinal of the event in which the Indian archer got the better of Aarb Ameri Mohammad Reza to punch his ticket in the final.
