Following the conclusion of the Olympic Games, the focus will shift to Paralympic Games which begin from August 28 in Paris. India will be sending its largest contingent of 84 athletes, including 32 female participants.
In the previous edition of the Olympic Games, India had sent a contingent of 54 which included only 14 women athletes. They won 19 medals—five gold, eight silver, and six bronze.
