Parineeti Chopra was last seen in Amar Singh Chamkila with Diljit Dosanjh. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film has changed how filmmakers and viewers see her, and she’s now getting better offers. She also mentioned how the industry often questions female actors about working after marriage, in a chat with The Indian Express. Parineeti faced this after marrying politician Raghav Chadha. However, she believes she’s moved past this phase thanks to the success of Amar Singh Chamkila.

Speaking about the film’s success, Parineeti said that it feels like a lifetime achievement award for the past two years of work on the film. “It is like a lifetime achievement award. You accept that your lifetime was the last two years that you gave to the film. Usually, the lifetime achievement award comes after like 50 years of service, but this one truly feels like that because it feels like a genuine, bonafide, authentic true hit. It is not a PR hit; it is not a fake hit. It has been a film that is actually liked by people. In today’s time it feels better than any other parameters,” she said.

Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila is a biographical film based on the life of the legendary artist and electrifying live-stage performer from Punjab, who gained immense popularity during the 1980s. She has not announced her next project till now.
