In the premiere episode of ‘Hunarbaaz: Desh Ki Shaan’, Parineeti Chopra was seen crying after hearing the story of a contestant who faced a tough time after reaching Mumbai. Earlier, a promo of Parineeti’s breakdown from the special episode also went viral on social media.
Now the actress has revealed about this. Parineeti told Pinkvilla, “Look, I can be anything but I can’t be fake. They are struggling to earn their livelihood but are so talented. But think how life can be unfair sometimes “It makes me very emotional. So, I think that’s what happened at that time. Whatever happens, I’m going to be real on this show.”
Parineeti referred to a contestant of the show and said: “To hear a story like this, with the talent she showed, I couldn’t hold back my tears. I couldn’t believe she didn’t get the world as she wanted to. Worth it.”
Voot had earlier shared a promo in which a contestant was seen performing daredevil stunts on a high pole as the song Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was playing in the background. He also spoke about his struggling days in Mumbai.
“I struggled a lot after reaching Mumbai. I did not have a place to live so I used to live under a tree near Shivaji Park in Mumbai. I hope someone will give me food or some money so that I can go back home.” Parineeti could not control her emotions and burst into tears. Jata Hai (When I meet such people, my heart breaks goes),” she said crying. Karan Johar was seen comforting her.
Hunarbaaz airs on Colors on weekends at 9 pm. The show deals with the contestants showcasing their talents in front of a panel of judges, which apart from Parineeti includes Karan Johar and Mithun Chakraborty. On the film front, Parineeti will next be seen in Sooraj Barjatya’s Uchhaai, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani.
