Parampara Series 2021: Natya Tarangini to celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ from November 12

New Delhi: Natya Tarangini, a performing arts center in New Delhi, will celebrate its Silver Jubilee as well as ‘India@75-Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ over two weekends in November starting this week.

The Center for the Performing Arts will organize a mixed dance and music festival in collaboration with the United Nations (UN) as a part of its Parampara series.

Natya Tarangini was founded in 1976 by the renowned dance duo Padmabhasuhans Dr Raja Radha Reddy and Dr Kaushalya Reddy to preserve and promote Indian music and dance.

Every year, the Center for the Performing Arts hosts a concert for dignitaries to come together and perform.

This year, it will present nationally and internationally eminent artists in a ‘Jugalbandi Concert’ over two weekends from November 12-14 and 19-21, 2021.

In 2020, the event was moved to a virtual platform due to the pandemic. Natya Tarangini collaborated with the United Nations and the performances were live-streamed on the United Nations and Raja Radha Reddy’s YouTube channels.

“2020 brought tough times for performing artists in India, this festival is our endeavor to get the arts sector back on its feet. We have a long way to go, so we request your support as we persevere in these difficult times,” said the press release by Natya Tarangini.

This year, the festival will take place in a hybrid form with a limited audience at the outdoor amphitheater ‘Raja Radha Theatre’ in New Delhi with live streams on the YouTube channel and Facebook page of the United Nations and Raja Radha Reddy. Raja Radha Reddy and Natya Tarangini.
