Paramakudi MLA Inspects School After Students Complain of Nausea Post Consuming mid-day Meal in Tamil Nadu

RamanathapuramParamakudi Member (MLA) Murugesan from Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu inspected the Paramakudi Government Primary School after complaints of children vomiting and fainting after consuming the mid-day meal. On Friday, 12 students, including eight boys and four girls, complained of stomach ache, vomiting and fainting after consuming food containing eggs.

After that, he was immediately admitted to Paramakudi Government Hospital for treatment. The doctors said that the consumption of undercooked eggs could be the reason behind the vomiting. Police also questioned students and teachers at the school and hospital.

Assistant Collector Abtab Rasool inspected the eggs and food items in the kitchen. Paramakudi Municipal Council President Sethukarunanidhi, District Principal Education Officer Balamuthu and others were present during the inspection.

According to the information, a total of 240 students are studying in the school. The headmaster of the school is Vasantha. The school cook, Muthukamakshi, cooks food for all 128 students. daily.
