New Delhi: A cyber security professional who submitted a report on a post posted by Jaish-ul-Hind on Telegram claimed responsibility. The statement further read, “I told CP Sir that as a cyber security expert I was also following a Telegram channel by the same name, since 29.01.2021 outside the Embassy of Israel in New Delhi. The blast took place and since then I was already in this kind of work, I shared with the Special Cell Delhi Police, the information collected by me and then the Special Cell asked me to cooperate with the Special Cell Delhi Police Said. After sharing the above information with CP Mumbai, I was asked whether I could have given such report in writing. I said that the work was confidential and the special cell was being done by Delhi Police and hence this is my part. It will not be appropriate to give any report in writing regarding this.But CP sir said that this is very important matter and I should give the said report and CP sir was also going to talk to IG NIA in this regard.
“On the insistence of the CP Mumbai, I prepared a report on my laptop computer sitting in the office of CP Mumbai. The said report was in a paragraph and I showed it to CP Mumbai. Referring to Singh’s request to pay the professional, the statement said, “Param Bir Singh said that he wanted to pay me for the services rendered and asked how much amount he should pay me. I replied that I was not expecting any payment. But Param Bir Singh insisted that I have done excellent work and I am entitled to payment for the services rendered.”
“Accordingly, he called his personal assistant and instructed the personal assistant to pay me Rs 3 lakh. The personal assistant left the room to follow the instructions, Param Bir Singh called the personal assistant back and the personal assistant Directed me to pay Rs 5. I again told CP sir that the amount is very high and there is no need for such payment.
