Paralympian Suhas LY’s racket bids Rs 10 crore, Neeraj Chopra’s spear reaches Rs 1.2 crore

New Delhi: Today is the 71st birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Gifts and souvenirs given to PM Modi are being auctioned on this occasion.

These gifts and mementos include kits and equipment from medal winners at the recently concluded Olympic and Paralympic Games. The auction, which started today, will continue till October 7. The money received from this auction will be used for the Namami Gange project.

Noida DM Suhas LY, who won a silver medal in Paralympic Games, is still ahead in the auction bid. The badminton racket gifted by Suhas to PM Modi, its base price of Rs 50 lakh has been kept in the auction. But within a few hours of the start of the auction, the bid for Suhas’s badminton racket has reached Rs 10 crore.

The base price of Neeraj Chopra’s spear has been kept at Rs 1 crore. Chopra’s javelin, which won a gold medal in the Tokyo Olympic Games, has so far reached Rs 1.20 crore in the auction.

The base price of the hockey stick of Rani Rampal, the captain of the women’s hockey team, who made history by reaching the semi-finals of the Olympic Games, has been kept at Rs 80 lakh. This hockey stick has the signatures of all the players of the women’s hockey team. The cost of hockey stick has reached up to Rs 1 crore so far.
