Pakistan to play T20 tri-series with New Zealand, Bangladesh from October 7-14 – Henry Club

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Tuesday that the Green Shirts will participate in the T20 tri-series in Christchurch, New Zealand from October 7-14, with Bangladesh as the third team.

According to the cricket board, the series is part of the team’s preparations for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup to be held later this year.

The press release said that Pakistan will take on Bangladesh on October 7 and New Zealand the next day.

“In the second round of matches, Pakistan will play New Zealand and Bangladesh on October 11 and 13 respectively, while the final will be held on October 14,” the PCB said.

The PCB further said that Pakistan will start its campaign on 23 October by playing against India.

They will then take on Bangladesh in two qualifiers in Perth on 27 and 30 October, Sydney on 3 November and South Africa in Adelaide on 6 November.

Captain Babar Azam looked very excited about the tri-series.

“I am happy that we will take part in the tri-series in New Zealand as it will help us reach early and not only get used to the T20 World Cup in Australia but will also give a final touch to our preparations.” called PCB.

“I missed the last series in New Zealand due to a thumb injury and look forward to playing cricket in Christchurch against two good opponents,” he said.

Pakistan will leave for Christchurch on October 4 after completing the seven-match T20I series against England on October 2.

Ahead of the England series, Pakistan will participate in the ACC T20 Asia Cup, which is scheduled to take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 27 August to 11 September.
