Pakistan team congratulated for their competition in Namibia dressing room – watch

The Pakistan Cricket Board shared a video on Twitter in which Mohammad Hafeez, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan and Fakhar Zaman can be seen cheering for the competition displayed by Namibia. Some encouraging words were exchanged between the officials after a great game of cricket in Abu Dhabi.

Namibia may have lost the match by 45 runs but they gave a tough fight to Pakistan. He tried his best to counter his opponents with David Wiese’s 43 not out and Craig Williams’ 40, but the Pakistani bowlers never allowed him a free hand as he could score 144-5 in 20 overs.

With four wins in as many matches, Pakistan has become the first team from Group 2 to reach the last four. This would be their fifth semi-final in Twenty20 World Cup history – the most by any team.

Rizwan and Babar were once again the stars, as they were in Pakistan’s victory over arch-rivals India, which gave them a kick-start in the event.

The pair put on 113 runs for the first wicket when Pakistan went slow from the block, scoring just 59 runs in the first ten overs, but finished with a flurry of 130 runs in the next ten.

Pakistan next face Scotland in their last match in Sharjah on Sunday. Namibia will also take on New Zealand two days ago in Sharjah.
