Pakistan pacer ‘honoured’ to receive MS Dhoni’s signed CSK jersey

Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf MS Dhoni was overjoyed with a signed CSK jersey and made sure his fans know everything about it. Sharing the picture on his social media accounts, Rauf said, “Legend and Captain Cool @msdhoni honored me with this beautiful gift from his shirt. “7” is still winning hearts through his kind and goodwill gestures. @russcsk Thank you very much especially for the kind support,” tweeted Rauf, sharing a picture of the signed jersey.

He also tagged Russell Radhakrishnan who immediately replied to his post. The CSK manager wrote, “When our captain @msdhoni delivers what he promised, glad you love it champions #whistlepodu @ChennaiIPL.”

Rauf made a name for himself with his raw pace and was soon noticed while playing for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League. He then made his debut in 2020 but came into his own in the calendar year 2021 – where Pakistan excelled as a T20I team. Like any other young cricketer, Rauf too grew up watching MS Dhoni and had to get the autographed jersey as ordered by the doctor.

Meanwhile MS Dhoni was the second retention as Chennai picked four of their players ahead of the mega auction. Dhoni, earlier, was in the thick of things as he led CSK to their fourth IPL title in October, beating KKR in the final.

Due to the same, CSK retained him for Rs 12 crore ahead of the 2022 mega-auction. Hence, the former Indian is all set to take the field in the 15th edition of the International Gala competition.

On the other hand, Rauf is currently gearing up for the 2022 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he represents Lahore Qalandars. The tournament will start from January 27.
