Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has urged the country’s Supreme Judiciary to take suo motu cognizance of the alleged misbehavior, including “reports of rape”, of women workers and supporters of the party arrested after the May 9 riots. Have done According to the Pakistan-based The Express Tribune newspaper.

Pakistan publishes a daily newspaper in English called The Express Tribune.

Imran Khan’s allegations came hours after Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah claimed in a question-and-answer session that intelligence agencies had unearthed a conspiracy by PTI persons to carry out a fake encounter and rape incident.

The minister guaranteed that the plans uncovered during the intercepted call were a conspiracy to raid a PTI worker’s house and start shooting, which could be demonstrated to the world as human rights violations.

According to The Express Tribune, the second plan was to stage a rape, and the recording would be shared with global media outlets to spread the word about the alleged abuse against PTI.

On the other hand, the PTI chief said that he was convinced by the reports about the way women workers of the party were treated in jail.

Speaking to PTI supporters from his Zaman Park residence in Lahore, Imran Khan said, “Later [Rana Sanaullah’s] Press conference, I have no doubt. The way women activists of PTI were detained and jailed, and the way they were being treated…we also heard [reports] of rape.”

The PTI chief claimed that the home minister’s statement should contain two things. “Either they are afraid that these women, when they are released, will tell stories of what happened to them, and [the government is] Preparing for this scenario. Or that they are scared that they have done something which they cannot do, so they want to create a story in advance that it was all a big conspiracy and PTI did it themselves.

Imran Khan said that he is getting abuses from all sides. However, he added that these reports did not mention Adiala Jail, but The Express Tribune reported that women employees were being kept in appalling conditions and that the judiciary should look into the situation.
