Oppo to launch A-series smartphone on October 1, could be Oppo A55 – Times of India

Smartphone brand Oppo has teased a smartphone launch on October 1. The company will launch a new handset under its A-series. Online commerce platform Amazon has created a microsite of the upcoming device. While it does not reveal the name of the smartphone, it does say that the phone will be equipped with a ‘balance of sleekness and smartness’.

According to the rumours, the handset could be Oppo A55. The smartphone will replace last year’s Oppo device. The Amazon listing suggests that the phone will be available on the e-tailer’s site.

The Oppo A55 is rumored to come with a dual-camera setup at the back. A 50MP primary rear camera can be given in this. The phone will come with a waterdrop style notch on the front, which will house the selfie camera.

The handset is expected to sport a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution. Oppo A55 could be powered by Helio P35 chipset. It could have 4GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage.

The device will have a 5,000mAh battery. It can come with 18W fast charging support. For security, the phone can have a side mounted fingerprint scanner.

Meanwhile, the company has announced the launch of Oppo F19s in India on September 27. The upcoming smartphone is teased to pack a 5,000mAh battery. It will come with 33W flash charge support. Oppo F19s is touted to be the thinnest phone with a battery capacity of 5000mAh. It will be offered in two color options – Glowing Black and Glowing Gold.
