Oppo Reno 7 series India launch on February 4: Features, specs and everything you need to know

New Delhi: Handset maker Oppo is all set to officially unveil its Reno 7 series in India which includes Oppo Reno 7 Pro and vanilla Oppo Reno 7 on February 4. However, the Reno 7 SE will not be announced in India as of now. Both the Reno 7 Pro and the Reno feature what the company calls a “glo” design. According to Oppo, the handsets also sport industry-first aircraft-grade LDI design technology. It should be noted that the Oppo Reno 7 Pro packs a 50MP main camera, similar to what we saw on the OnePlus 9RT.

The Oppo “Glow” design is where the phone’s glass back cover has a matte texture and glossy appearance. It also makes the smartphone fingerprint and stain resistant. “The new LDI technology, hitherto used to design PCBs in the aviation industry, has been reinvented to produce fine textures – as small as 20 µm in size – on Reno’s photoresist-coated Ag glass back cover. 7 Series. The back of each device contains a total of 1.2 million micro-etchings that create the illusion of thousands of stars – complete with long tails of light. These micron-scale etchings give the phone a matte in-hand feel and brushed finish , the company said in a statement on Monday ahead of the launch of the series in India.

Worth a lot, the Reno 7 Pro sports a lightweight and durable aluminum mid frame with a flat-edged design that’s intended to make it easy to hold and operate. The handset also features a 2.5D, 6.55-inch OLED screen that adopts the narrowest bezel packaging process in the history of Reno devices launched so far, with the left and right black edges of the screen narrowing by 0.2 mm. The Reno7 Pro is 11.5 percent thinner than the previous generation Reno with a screen-to-body ratio of 92.8 percent.

Earlier last week, Oppo revealed the camera details of its upcoming Oppo Reno 7 Pro smartphone and mentioned that the device will have the world’s first Sony IMX709 sensor. The Oppo Reno 7 Pro price in the country is likely to be between Rs 41,000 and Rs 43,000. As per the handset maker, the IMX709 which is exclusive to Oppo, is an optimized RGBW front image sensor that can capture crisper and evenly exposed photos and videos.
