Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday listed the achievements of his government in his first public meeting after completing nine years in office. Also, he hit out at the Congress saying, “it cannot digest the fact that a son of a poor family can construct and inaugurate a new Parliament building”. “They are angry as to why the poor’s son is questioning them on the issue of corruption and dynastic politics,” he said. With assembly elections in Rajasthan due later this year, Modi began his party’s month-long outreach campaign from Ajmer. Listing the welfare measures taken by his government for women, poorer sections, farmers and youth, Modi said, people should compare the situation between 2014 and now, and they would know the difference. He said, Rs 25 lakh crore was spent on the construction of new highways, roads and railways. I consider it a good sign for democracy that our Prime Minister is listing the achievements of his government in the last nine years. In a democracy, the government should be accountable. Modi is right in saying that nine years ago there used to be many cases of corruption. Opposition parties have the right to question the work of the Modi government and assess its performance. But if we look at the Congress campaign, its leaders do not question the performance of the Modi government. The reason for this is that the achievements Modi mentions in his speeches are visible on the ground. Congress leaders spend most of their time calling Modi a “dictator”, maligning and making fun of the Prime Minister.

Rahul’s comment will surely hurt India:

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing NRIs in California, calling him a “specimen”. Rahul Gandhi said, “There is a group of people in India who believe that they know everything. They think they know more than God. They can sit with God and explain the universe. And yes, our Prime Minister is one such example. They think they can explain history to historians, science to scientists and war to the military, but at its core is mediocrity. They are not ready to listen.” He mocked Modi for lying down completely in front of the ‘sengol’ (scepter) during the inauguration of the new Parliament building. Rahul Gandhi is almost repeating in America what he said earlier during his visit to UK. At that time he was criticized a lot for spoiling the name of India, but those criticisms had no effect on him. Rahul does not believe in Indira Gandhi’s legacy that Indians should not speak about domestic differences on foreign shores. Many Congress leaders still follow this principle. They feel, Rahul should not say abroad that Muslims are being persecuted in India, as Pakistan and China take undue advantage of his comments. Many Congress leaders also believe that by saying that democracy and constitutional institutions in India are weak, they are harming the country. Rahul Gandhi’s supporters say that earlier Modi had also done the same. They say, Modi said abroad that there was no progress in India before he became the PM. They also object to Modi’s claim that earlier our countrymen felt ashamed to present themselves as Indians while living abroad. Even if I assume for a moment that Modi should not have said that, I think there was nothing in his comment that our enemies could use against India. The comments that Rahul Gandhi is making will be used by our enemies and this can harm India. If Rahul thinks that his comment will harm Modi or the BJP, he is wrong. When Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said at Sydney NRI event that “PM Modi is the Boss” or when US President Joe Biden talked about Modi’s popularity or when Papua New Guinea PM touched Modi’s feet, every The Indian jumped with joy. It brings pride and glory to 140 crore Indians. We all should accept this. The truth is that Rahul Gandhi is confused. They can’t think of a way how to stop Modi from winning the election. Actually, there is a fundamental difference between Modi and Rahul Gandhi. Modi is never in a turbulent mood. He never goes on holidays. The moment one election ends, he starts preparing for the next. After the Congress won the Karnataka elections, Rahul Gandhi immediately left for the US. But on May 11, the day voters in Karnataka were casting their votes, Modi was addressing a rally in Nathdwara and laying the groundwork for the Rajasthan election campaign. On Wednesday, Modi was addressing a rally in Rajasthan’s Ajmer after offering prayers at the Pushkar temple. Modi visited Rajasthan six times during the last eight months. Modi believes in his work as the basis for seeking votes, while the Congress believes in ‘guarantees’ to voters.

Rajasthan: Alarm bells are ringing for Congress.

Alarm bells are ringing in Rajasthan Congress. On Wednesday, dissident leader Sachin Pilot was in his constituency Tonk, where he told a rally that the deadline given to investigate corruption charges against former CM Vasundhara Raje has now expired, and he will soon contest his next election. Will decide on the steps. Responding to CM Ashok Gehlot’s ‘advice’ that young leaders should be patient and the fruits of patience are sweet, Pilot retorted, saying, ‘It is time for old politicians to give opportunities to young people.’ Without naming Gehlot, he said, “Some old leaders are now feeling insecure and that is why they are pulling the legs of their younger ones.” Sachin Pilot’s line is clear: his demand for a probe into the corruption charges against Vasundhara Raje is actually meant to upset Gehlot. The ground reality is that Pilot wants the Congress to present him as the chief ministerial candidate in the assembly elections to be held this year. He wants the party leadership to fulfill the promise made to him five years ago. But Ashok Gehlot has the support of the Congress high command. He has clearly said that the high command cannot be forced to take any decision. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi feel that Pilot’s displeasure can be overcome, but if Gehlot’s government becomes unstable, it could be like digging its own grave. Pilots may soon lose their patience. Now that his term is over, alarm bells have started ringing for the Congress in Rajasthan.
