Harare: Openers takudzwanache catano Zimbabwe topped the first innings of the one-off Test against Bangladesh with 87 runs before being bowled out for 276 on Friday. Harare Sports Club.

Mehdi and fellow bowlers Taskin Ahmed, Abadot Hossain, Shakib Al Hasan and captain Mominul Haque took just one wicket for 95 runs in the first session.
But a dramatic turnaround took place after lunch as Zimbabwe added only 35 runs in 29 overs and lost three wickets during the second session as they reached 244-5 by tea.
Shakib Al Hasan did most of the damage, removing debutant Dion Myers, who made 27, and Timissen Marumo for a duck.
A sweep from Myers was caught by Mehdi at fine leg and Marumo was leg-trapped and failed to score in 17 balls.
Taskin Ahmed claimed the wicket of the second session, finding the edge of Roy Kaiya’s bat, Das took another catch to send him back, also for a duck.
After Caetano was dismissed, only Regis Chakabva with an unbeaten 31 offered any continued resistance as the rest of the tail was quickly twisted.
