One bail changed the equations of Lakhimpur seats: BJP candidates are not going to ask for votes out of fear, farmers said – if not the son of the minister, are we guilty?

Lakhimpur Kheri… is in discussion once again. Yes, or rather, it is in discussion for the third time. For the first time in this district the sari of a woman leader was pulled. There was anger against the arrogance of power. Second time – Thar train went out crushing the farmers. When the matter turned out to be related to the minister and his son, then… there was anger, that too against the arrogance of power. Now the discussion is taking place for the third time because there is voting here tomorrow i.e. on 23rd February. Before this, there is only resentment in the minds of the people. This was seen when Manisha Bhalla, a reporter of Dainik Bhaskar, landed on the ground in 4 assembly seats of Lakhimpur Kheri and groped the minds of the voters.

Issues against power among farmers and common people were seen alive in every assembly seat. If someone talked about the farmers movement, someone said that Junior Teni is out, so are we to blame? The condition is that BJP candidates are afraid to go to Nighasan area. This is the same area where farmers were crushed.

Come let’s know…what was found in this ground report of Lakhimpur Kheri…
This is the first assembly election in Uttar Pradesh after the farmers’ agitation on the Delhi border. Lakhimpur, the largest district of Uttar Pradesh, is situated on the Nepal border. This is a Terai region. The release on bail of Ashish Mishra, the son of the Union Minister, the main accused in the violence during the farmers’ agitation, is the biggest issue of Lakhimpur Kheri at the moment. This issue is being widely publicized against BJP, 80 percent farmers are here, so there is anger among people against Ashish Mishra’s bail in eight assembly seats here.

In the 2017 elections, all the 8 seats in the district went to the BJP’s account. But after the farmers’ movement, the equations have changed here. We are talking about 4 out of 8 assembly seats, which all eyes are on.

Palia: The main issue is the roads, which break in the flood…
First of all we talk about the Palia assembly of Lakhimpur Kheri. Most of the population here is Tharu tribals and Dalits. This is the assembly constituency along the Nepal border. Dudhwa National Park is also here. Palia has a vote share of 40,000 Tharu and 80,000 Dalits. The main issue here is only roads, because every year there are floods and roads break. By road it takes one hour to travel 15 kms. Samajwadi Party has fielded Pritendra Singh Kakku as its candidate and in front of him is Harvinder Singh (Omi Sahni) from BJP. There is a tussle between the two. Harvinder Singh’s personal image is slightly better. He is considered a leader among the people.

Nighasan: Crushing of farmers and bail of Teni is a big issue
Nighasan assembly seat is the most talked about seat. This is the same area where farmers were killed in Tikonia after a Thar car hit them. This area is the stronghold of the Sardars who came from Punjab. They are counted among the big farmers. Nighasan is also known as Mini Punjab. The most impact of the peasant movement is being seen in this area.

Farmer Ram Singh Dhillon said that the bail of the minister's son Ashish is absolutely out of tolerance.

The farmer said – how did the vine mill get there?
Farmer leader Ram Singh Dhillon, who lives in Nighasan, says, “We are surprised that how the accused of Section 302 and 120-B got the bail, it was not a case of liquor smuggling, the cart was hit on the chest of the farmers. She was.” According to Dhillon, there were already many issues of farming in Lakhimpur. The farmers were very angry with the government, the bail given to Ashish Mishra has fulfilled the problem.

‘After reading the bell order, it seems that some person of the government has written it’
Farmer Resham Singh from Dubaha village says that Ashish Teni’s bail order is of 17 pages. If anyone has to get bail, he gets it, who is the least guilty. Ashish was the main accused. Resham Singh says that after reading the bail order, it seems that the order has been written by some person of the government. Resham Singh does agriculture and is not a farmer leader. This shows how closely the farmers here have been made aware about the vine that Ashish Teni got.

Farmer Amarjeet Singh said, we ourselves saw that the speeding vehicle crushed the farmers and left. The government has not been properly advocated.

The farmer said – we saw how the car danced and killed
This is the management of farmer organizations which are the technical information of a vine received by Ashish Teni, a farmer of Lakhimpur. Everyone is mobilizing against the BJP in this matter. Sunil Kumar Yadav, leader of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Tikait), says that it is not only affecting the farmers of Lakhimpur but across the state. This will have a huge impact on the election of Lakhimpur as it has 80 per cent farmers. Yadav tells that the vine may have been found due to any reason, but we have seen how Ashish has made the car dance and hit the farmers.

Who is in the fight on Nighasan seat?

From here Samajwadi Party has given ticket to former MLA and former BSP president RS Kushwaha and BJP has given ticket to Shashank Verma. Shashank Verma is the son of former cabinet minister and MLA Ramkumar Verma. As far as Shashank Verma is concerned, he is not going to campaign in the stronghold of the Sardars out of fear.

No BJP candidate is going to Nighasan due to fear
Jaskaran Singh Jassa in Bajranggarh village of Nighasan says that this is the first time that no BJP candidate has come to our village for election campaign. BJP candidate Punjabi Sardar is so scared of farmers’ stronghold that he does not even dare to go there. Jassa says that Ashish’s hasty bail bail will cost the government. Its effect will be seen 100% in farmers and Sikh society. Govind Singh Sidhu of the same village says that the bail granted to Ashish is of course a court case, but Ashish got bail, it can be said that the government did not defend the matter properly, while the SIT had given a report of 5,000 pages. , in which Teni’s son was told as the accused.

This is not the time to enter politics – Pawan Kashyap
Farmer Pawan Kashyap is the brother of journalist Raman Kashyap. Raman was also killed in the farmer violence. Congress had also offered to make Pawan an election candidate, but Pawan refused. He says this is not the time to go into politics. If I go into politics at this time, I will not be able to give time to my brother’s murder case. In fact, the bail of Ashish Teni has been challenged in the Supreme Court under the banner of United Kisan Morcha on behalf of all the farmer families killed in the Lakhimpur farmer violence. Pawan Kashyap says that all the families are busy in this matter. Farming is not available only from agriculture and court-courts.

Pawan says that all the farmers are here. On that day also there was a program of the farmers where the farmers were trampled like insects. Obviously this is going to have a bad effect on the election. Even everyone is losing faith in justice that how can he get bail so soon, when he is the main accused in the incident.

Ramdayal says that not only the Tikoniya incident, the issue of road and MSP has also been raised by the farmers in the talks.

Mohammadi: MSP price of paddy is a big issue
Talking about the issues in the Mohammadi assembly, the issue of mining is the biggest here. Apart from this, there is also an issue of non-availability of MSP price of paddy. Actually, the MSP of paddy is Rs 1940, but the government is not buying it at this price. It is being bought by middlemen and private rice sellers for Rs 800 to 1100 a quintal. Because of this, the farmers cultivating paddy are angry with the government. Farmer Harmir Singh says that rich farmers sell paddy in tractor trolleys to Punjab and Haryana, but other farmers have to sell paddy to middlemen here.

Looking at the political equations here, the Samajwadi Party made Dawood Ahmed, a resident of Lucknow, a candidate from the Samajwadi Party at the last moment, while it was decided till the last moment that Karthik Tiwari would be given ticket from here. There are 80,000 Muslims, while there are 40,000 Brahmin voters. Wherever the Brahmin goes, the candidate wins. The main face-to-face fight is between Dawood Ahmed and BJP candidate Lokendra Pratap Singh.

Sadar assembly seat: mining in Sharda river is a big issue
Samajwadi Party’s Utkarsh Verma is in the fray from Sadar seat while Yogesh Verma is in the fray from BJP. The specialty of Sadar seat is that these two candidates are close relatives. One of the main issues of Sadar is the issue of mining in Sharda river. Due to the day and night mining in the Sharda river here, there is resentment among the general public, because trucks and trolleys filled with sand keep running throughout the night. The eyes are on this seat because Yogesh Verma, the favorite of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Teni, was successful in getting the ticket. Only Yogesh Verma has got ticket from Ajay Kumar Teni lobby in Lakhimpur Kheri.
