Prime Minister Narendra Modi On Monday, a man on the streets of Varanasi stopped his car in a narrow lane crowded with people chanting his name to collect ‘turban’ and dupatta from his name, as his heavily guarded convoy was heading towards the Kashi Vishwanath temple.
In one of the videos, a man can be seen trying to present a gift to the Prime Minister, but his security stopped him. Seeing the uproar, PM Modi urged them to cover the gifts as they pass on.
The man was seen placing both his head and dupatta on the Prime Minister, who had folded his hands.
In the morning, PM Modi offered prayers at the Kal Bhairav temple in his constituency Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, before launching a mega corridor to connect the Kashi Vishwanath temple with the Ganga ghats.
PM Modi accompanied Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to Kashi Vishwanath Temple in a double-decker boat to inaugurate Kashi Vishwanath Dham. The cost of this project is approximately ₹ 339 crore.
