On full throttle, Rahul rides Goa’s unique two-wheeler taxi, has lunch at the hut

Congress leader Rahul GandhiOn a day-long visit to Goa, where assembly elections will be held early next year, he had lunch at a roadside eatery in a village on Saturday and then traveled about five kilometers in a two-wheeler taxi.

Gandhi reached the state on Saturday morning. After addressing fishermen in South Goa, Gandhi had lunch at a roadside eatery in Bambolim village on the Panaji-Margao highway.

He was accompanied by Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar and Leader of the Opposition Digambar Kamat.

After that, Gandhi took a lift, a motorcycle pilot, a two-wheeler taxi to reach the resort, where he was scheduled to meet people dependent on the mining industry in the state, which has stopped functioning following Supreme Court orders. In 2018, he traveled about five kilometers in a two-wheeler taxi.

Gandhi will address the Congress workers’ convention in Panaji in the evening.
