Srinagar: National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah | Condemned the Chief Minister of Haryana on Sunday Manohar Lal KhattarThe comment of that offering ‘Prayer‘ would not be tolerated in open spaces, saying that the decision was wrong and it clearly meant that a particular Religion was being targeted.
He said that there is complete freedom in the country to follow one’s religion.
“The statement of Haryana Chief Minister and his decision is completely wrong,” Abdullah told reporters after a party program in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
“I would have accepted it if this restriction were on every religion, but from this choice and choice, it is clear that the target is a particular religion which is not allowed Constitution of this country,” he said.
Abdullah said that “this was not the India” in which J&K was merged.
“JK had joined a secular, tolerant India,” he said, adding, “This (Khattar’s) statement is highly condemnable.”
When asked whether the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) – an amalgamation of six mainstream political parties demanding restoration of special status of Jammu and Kashmir, which was revoked by the Center on August 5, 2019 – was united , Abdullah said, “it was united and will continue its struggle”.
“The fight will go on. If there is a need to bring some change in that, we will do that. There is no second thought that our rulers don’t like PAGD. In the past also there were attempts to weaken PAGD. Was cut off from PAGD on some pretext or the other.’
However, he added that the rest of the PAGD components “understand these designs” and “will not allow them to succeed”.
