Ola has revealed the pricing of its much-awaited e-scooter with an aim to reduce pollution levels in the country and promote electric vehicles. Ola launched the S1 and S1 Pro on the 75th anniversary of Independence Day.
The Ola e-scooter S1 is priced at Rs 99,999 and the S1-Pro is priced at Rs 1,29,999. The company said that the e-scooter can be booked till September 8, its delivery will start from October. Currently, this e-scooter of Ola can be booked for Rs. 499.
Mileage of S1 and S1 Pro on full charge
Ola informed that its S1 scooter will run for 121 km on a full charge, while its top speed will be 90 kmph. The company also revealed that it can accelerate to 40 kmph in just 3.6 seconds. This e-scooter has two modes, Normal and Sport.
Talking about the S1 Pro, the company said that once it is fully charged, it will run for 181 km. Its maximum speed will be 115 kmph. It can accelerate to 40 kmph in just 3 seconds. The S1 Pro has three modes, Normal, Sport and Hyper.
This scooter will be available to the customers in 10 colors.
The company said that both the scooters can also be availed on monthly installments of 2999. Ola will sell its scooter both online and offline. For offline sales, the company plans to open experience centers in every city in the country in the next three months.
Ola Company Chairman Bhavish Aggarwal said that it is necessary for our country to move towards Electronic Vehicles (EV).
Bhavish, President and Group Executive Officer, Ola said, “We have built our technology in India. By 2025, every two-wheeler in India will be an electric two-wheeler. We want 50 percent of the world’s two-wheelers to be made in India.” Agarwal told reporters.
He said that over 100,000 bookings have been done with Ola for both the models of the e-scooter. Bhavish Aggarwal also highlighted that booking of Ola e-scooters is taking place not only from metro cities but also from smaller cities. He said that the S1 and S1 Pro are the company’s foremost best-in-class products in terms of price.
