Ola Electric Achieves Record Sales Of Over 35,000 Scooters in May, Largest EV Maker In India

Ola Electric has consolidated its position as the market leader in the electric two-wheeler segment with a record sales of over 35,000 units in the month of May. Riding on its highest ever monthly sales in May, Ola has captured over 30 per cent market share and has achieved 300% year-on-year growth during the last month. In doing so, Ola Electric has become India’s largest EV company, consistently topping the sales charts for the last 3 quarters. Ola Electric is not only the largest electric scooter manufacturer, but also the largest EV company in India overall.

Ola S1 is the best selling electric scooter in India and the rates of the scooter have been revised after the government changed the FAME II scheme. Since June, the Ola S1 Pro now costs Rs 1,39,999, the S1 (3KWh) costs Rs 1,29,999 and the S1 Air (3KWh) costs Rs 1,09,999. Despite the government reducing the FAME II subsidy, the Ola S1 Pro will be sold at its initial launch price.

Ola has been actively growing its offline presence through setting up of multiple Ola Experience Centers (ECs) across India to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles across the country. The company recently launched its 600th EC and plans to expand to 1,000 by August.

Bhavish Agarwal, Founder and CEO, Ola Electric said, “Our sales have grown exponentially month-on-month and Ola has consistently led the EV revolution in India. This remarkable achievement not only reflects the unwavering faith customers have in our brand but also reflects the growing desire for technologically advanced EVs in the country.

With an unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction, we have marginally increased our product prices since June despite a significant reduction in government subsidies, making the Ola S1 the best EV proposition in India. Ola Electric stands firm in its mission to drive electric vehicle adoption in the country and redefine the way people travel.”
