NVS Class 11 Admission 2023: JNV to Conduct Lateral Entry Admission Test From This Year

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is conducting the Lateral Entry Selection Test for the students seeking admission against the vacant seats in class 9th.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has released an official notice regarding Lateral Entry Admission of Class 11 students for the academic session 2023-24. The committee has informed that they will start conducting the selection test for lateral entry admission in class 11 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) from this year itself. In respect of lateral entry admission in class XI against the vacant seats in JNVs, it is decided to hold the selection test from the session 2023-24 as in the case of lateral entry admission in class IX. ,

The candidates who are interested may apply for the selection test through online mode for which provision will be made in a few days. NVS Selection Test will be conducted in July this year. The exact date and time of the exam has not been announced yet. A detailed notification on selection test, application fee and registration process will be issued shortly.

NVS Class 11 Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

-Students must have passed their class 10 exam from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), State Board, or other recognized Board in the country.

The minimum age of the student should be 15 years and the maximum age limit should be 17 years.

-Candidates can apply for admission in the district where the JNV is located.

-NVS Class 11 merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the students in their class 10 examination. The availability of seats in the concerned JNV will also be taken into consideration.

– Students applying for admission are required to have “proper” competency in English and Hindi languages.

JNV is a system of schools for students who are from rural areas. The system provides education to students who do not have access to accelerated education due to social, financial and rural disadvantages.
