Nupur Sharma comment row: Bajrang Dal will hold nationwide protests, says it

Recently, in Delhi, the police arrested the culprits of the racket by tearing posters in favor of Nupur Sharma. But this time Bajrang Dal is on its way to light the flames of Hindutva. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad said on Tuesday that Bajrang Dal activists will hold nationwide protests this week against the recent incidents of violence in different parts of the country over remarks against Prophet Mohammad. The controversial remark was made by now suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma.

Nupur Sharma on Muhammad: Memorandum to the President

The RSS-affiliated Sangh said workers of its youth wing would on Thursday hold dharnas at district administration headquarters across the country against “increasing extremist incidents by Islamic jihadi extremists” and submit a memorandum to President Ram Nath Kovind.

Nupur Sharma Comment line: Group recitation of Hanuman Chalisa

The Delhi unit of the VHP has called for gatherings in temples and participating in the mass recitation of Hanuman Chalisa to protest the June 10 violence in some parts of the country. In a statement, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad alleged that as part of a well-planned conspiracy to defame India globally, on June 10, after prayers in mosques, there were violent protests and pelting of stones at temples and houses.

On June 10, protests broke out in different parts of the country, including outside Delhi’s Jama Masjid, against controversial remarks by now-suspended BJP leaders Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal on Prophet Mohammad. In Jharkhand, some policemen were injured trying to control the protesters, while in Jammu, authorities imposed curfew in some areas. In parts of Uttar Pradesh, protesters pelted stones at police, forcing forces to lathi-charge and use tear gas shells.

In a statement, the RSS ally alleged that on June 10, after prayers in mosques, there were violent protests and stone pelting at temples and houses as part of a “planned conspiracy” to insult India globally. Delhi VHP chief Kapil Khanna said in a statement, “An illegal ‘fatwa’ was issued for the murder of Nupur Sharma. Hindu society rejects and strongly condemns the pressure on Hindu society due to such illegal protest. Is.” Khanna also requested the temple managers and priests to give notices informing them to disseminate the information to the devotees.
