The CP said Tripura’s Heena Biswas, for whom an impersonation Julie Kumari had appeared in the NEET exam here on September 12, is also among 16 candidates. Police arrested Julie along with her mother Babita.
The CP said: “It is learned that 25 candidates from different districts of the three states avoided filling the form for NEET from their own stations even though their fees were deposited through an individual’s bank account. The investigators approached the NTA officials for the attendance sheet. It was found that nine out of 25 left the exam. To find out whether genuine candidates appeared in NEET matching their fingerprints or not. The report was sent to the Director NTA.
He said investigators are also focusing on gathering enough evidence to foil the anticipatory bail attempt of the absconding accused.
