National Security Advisors of 7 countries i.e. NSA are reaching New Delhi today on the call of India regarding the situation in Afghanistan. Starting on November 10, the NSAs of Iran, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan will attend. Earlier i.e. today NSA Ajit Doval will hold a bilateral meeting with the National Security Advisors of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

India had also invited China and Pakistan for this meeting to be held in the name of Delhi Regional Security Dialogue on Afghanistan, but both the countries refused to attend it giving different reasons.

Discussion on stopping terrorism, bigotry and drug smuggling
The meeting, which is considered very important regarding the situation in Afghanistan, is expected to discuss many issues including terrorism, drug smuggling, arms stockpiles and humanitarian aid. The representatives of India, Russia, Iran and 5 Central Asian countries attending the meeting will chalk out a strategy for mutual cooperation to deal with the menace of terrorism, radicalization and drugs after the Taliban rule in Afghanistan.

NSAs of seven countries will also meet Prime Minister Modi
Russia’s Security Council Secretary Nikolai P. and Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani are reaching India to attend this conversation. At the same time, President of National Security Committee of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov, Secretary of Security Council of Kyrgyzstan Marat Mukanovich Imankulov, Secretary of Security Council of Tajikistan Nasrullo Rahmatzon Mahmudzoda and Cabinet Vice President of Security Affairs of Turkmenistan Charmirat Kaklyevich Amavov will represent their respective countries. NSAs of all countries will also meet Prime Minister Modi.
