Another weekend is here and so are a slew of new movies and series on OTT. Abhishek’s Bachchan starrer Dasvi is making a lot of headlines for its sly attitude on the lack of respect for education among the powerful in the country. Actors are doing rare but impressive performances on screen these days. He has Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur to support him in Dasvi.

Kunal Khemu’s crime thriller series Abhay is now in its third season, and the makers promise that it will be even more engaging. Dasvi (Netflix and Jio Cinema)

Dasvi is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language social comedy film written by Ritesh Shah and directed by newcomer Tushar Jalota. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films in association with Jio Studios and Bake My Cake Films. It stars Abhishek Bachchan, who plays the role of Ganga Ram Choudhary, an arrogant chief minister in a fictional kingdom, Harit Pradesh. He has studied only till class VIII, and thinks that education is a waste of time. One he is sent to jail, he understands its importance and decides to complete his 10th. The film also stars Yami Gautam as an IPS officer, and Nimrat Kaur Bachchan’s housewife turned chief minister.

Abhay 3 (ZEE5)

Season 3 of Kunal Khemu’s crime thriller series Abhay promises to be deeper and faster. In Kunal’s words, the crime thriller is “big, bold and even more brutal”. He has said that the Ken Ghosh directorial “is going to make you question everything”. Kunal’s Abhay Pratap Singh is ready to solve cases that will keep you on the edge of your seats.
