Novak Djokovic’s reaction to Kevin Pietersen’s post supporting India cricketer Virat Kohli

outward appearance India Batter is getting constant support from the sports world. While many former and current cricketers have continued to support him, including Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma, tennis legend Novak Djokovic has also backed him.

Kevin Pietersen recently shifted his weight behind Kohli after the India batsman registered another low score. The sentimental post, which went viral on social media, has been liked on Instagram by Novak Djokovic, the legend of modern tennis and 22-time Grand Slam champion.

Like Kohli’s current slump, Djokovic too had to deal with a phase where a drop in form and injuries severely affected his career for almost two years from 2016. The Serbian superstar made a remarkable turnaround with his title-winning performances at the 2018 and today Wimbledon Championships. He ranks second on the list of most major singles titles in men’s history.

At one stage in his career, Kohli was scoring centuries for fun, but since his 70th international career in 2019, the former India captain has failed to touch the three-figure mark in any form of cricket .

Although he continued to peel fifties with the onset of the drought of the century, fifties have also disappeared in recent times. With the World Cup just months away, some have started questioning Kohli’s place in India’s T20Is.

Pietersen on Saturday spoke about how Kohli should be proud of his achievements so far and that he will soon be back at his best.

“Buddy, there have been some great people in your career who have played the game, only wish they could do what you have (so far). Be proud, live long and enjoy life. There’s so much more to it than just a cricket bubble.” You will be back, @virat.kohli,” wrote Peterson on Instagram.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam has also extended his support to Kohli through social media.
