Novak Djokovic wins fresh delay in relegation Tennis News – Times of India

Melbourne: An Australian judge has agreed to delay any attempts at deportation Tennis Star Novak Djokovik Till late Monday night, as his court case continues in Melbourne.
Minutes before the last court order expired, Djokovic won another temporary relief from Judge Anthony Kelly until 8 p.m. (0900 GMT) on Monday local time.
Public prosecutors have previously indicated they would be willing to delay the deportation order that has hung on the 34-year-old Serbian as he seeks to remain in Australia.
Djokovic arrived in Australia last Wednesday hoping to defend himself Australian Open crown and seal an unprecedented 21st Grand Slam title.

Instead of receiving a champion, he was interrogated at the airport overnight before being transferred to a Melbourne immigration detention facility pending his visa cancellation and deportation.
The unrelated star is believed to have not provided sufficient evidence of medical exemption.
The case is set to return to court later on Monday.
