Nothing gives us a first look at the Nothing Phone (1): What does it look like and what to expect?

One of the most awaited launches of 2022, the Nothing Phone (1) is nearing its July 12 launch. Ahead of the launch, the company has finally given us its first look at the Nothing Phone (1), which features a white flat-sided smartphone with flat edges and a dual camera setup.

The Nothing Phone (1) was earlier rumored to feature a completely transparent design that would show off all the components of the smartphone. Now, while the back panel is actually transparent, it only shows the layer that covers the components inside the device.

The image also shows what the wireless charging coil looks like, and a few more metal plates that hold the parts of the smartphone together. The smartphone is rumored to come with support for wireless charging and NFC. The volume button is placed on the left side of the smartphone and the power button is placed on the right side of the frame. This is a very different back panel design, and will go well with people who prefer a transparent design language of nothing.

The Nothing Phone (1) will be launched on July 12 during the company’s “Return to Instinct” virtual event. The launch will be livestreamed on the company’s YouTube channel.

Nothing the Phone 1 is likely to be a mid-range device, and certainly not a major contender as multiple reports have said. Leaks suggest that the Nothing Phone (1) will sport a 6.43-inch Full HD+ 90Hz AMOLED display with HDR10+ support. The company could be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset, and offer 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. As seen in the first look image, the smartphone will feature a dual camera setup, but the specifications are unknown.
