Prayagraj: Now the results of all the 22 assembly seats of the three districts of the district have come. More than half of the candidates in Prayagraj region have failed to garner even votes matching the number of NOTA being pressed in their respective seats in the 2022 assembly elections.

In the Handia assembly seat, 1,960 votes were cast in favor of NOTA, where Congress’s Reena Kumar Bind (1,440) AAPK Pawan Kumar Tiwari (1,355) failed to match it. In Meja seat, 1,768 people preferred NOTA, while Congress’s Shalini Dwivedi (1,547), AAP’s Ram Kumar Mishra (342), AIMIM and Jan Adhikar Party alliance candidate Bablu Kumar (872) out of 11 candidates who were unsuccessful in the match. A similar situation was witnessed in Koraon seat where NOTA got 2,628 votes, while AAP’s Harish Chandra got 1,764 votes, AIMIM-Jan Adhikar Party candidate Ashok Dhuria got 1,592 votes, while CPI’s Chironji Lal got 1,654 votes. In Phulpur seat, NOTA was suppressed 1,548 times and Congress got more votes than NOTA but 11 out of 15 candidates scored less than NOTA. In Bara assembly seat, 2,728 people went in favor of NOTA but nine smaller parties, including AAP and CPI, got less votes than NOTA. In Pratappur, 653 votes were cast for NOTA, but seven out of 25 candidates failed to tally it. Similarly, 914 votes were cast for NOTA in Karachana and except BJP, SP, BSP and Congress, all eight of the 12 candidates fell below NOTA. In Allahabad West, 1,518 votes were cast on NOTA, while eight of the 12 candidates, including AAP (601), got fewer votes. In Allahabad North, 919 votes were cast for NOTA. Here, three out of nine candidates, including AIMIM, could not match it. Out of 90 candidates in Pratapgarh, 58 failed to get votes equal to or more than NOTA. Similarly, in Kunda seat, 2,161 people pressed the NOTA button, while seven candidates got below NOTA votes. NOTA got 1959 votes in Babaganj while four candidates including Congress got votes Veena Rani Got less votes than NOTA.
