Recently, during an interview, the director of Aadhavan, K.S Ravikumar shared deets about how Suriya’s child look was created in the film. He said, “The total budget for the film was Rs 21 crore. As it didn’t fit our budget, he roped in a young boy for the scene and shot with a green matt behind him. After this, we talked to the animation company about how much it would cost to fit the actor’s face on this boy’s body. For that, they asked Rs 28 Lakhs, which was in our budget.”

“Later when Suriya came for the dubbing of the film, he was surprised to see his teenage look,” the director added.
