Srinagar: An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Jumagund village of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday.
In a tweet, the Kashmir Police Zone wrote, “Based on a specific input developed by Kupwara Police regarding an infiltration attempt by terrorists in Jumagund village, Kupwara, an encounter has started when the infiltrating terrorists were intercepted by the Army and Police. was stopped. More details to follow,”.
This is the second encounter in North Kashmir in less than 24 hours. Three Pakistani Jaish terrorists and a policeman were killed in yesterday’s encounter in Baramulla district. (GNS)
