Nokia 5.3 starts receiving Android 11 operating system update in India and 12 other countries – Times of India

hmd Global, the company that has the license to manufacture and sell Nokia-branded handsets, has started rolling out the Android 11 update to its budget smartphones. Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan and Vietnam.
HMD says that 30% of these approved markets will receive the update immediately, 50% will receive it by August 5, and by August 6, 100% of these markets will receive the Android 11 update.
Nokia 5.3 Price and Specifications
Launched in September 2020, the Nokia 5.3 is currently selling for Ra 15,499 in India.
In terms of specs, the handset sports a 6.5-inch HD+ screen with 1600x720p resolution with waterdrop notch and 2.5D glass front.
For imaging duties, the Nokia 5.3 sports a quad-camera setup at the back. The primary camera is a 13MP sensor (f/1.8 aperture). There is a 5MP ultra-wide sensor and two 2MP depth and macro sensors each with f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup offers modes like Night Mode, Portrait Mode, etc. On the front, users get an 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
Nokia 5.3 smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. On the storage front, the device offers 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. For those who want more, there is a dedicated microSD card on the device that can support up to 512GB of storage.
Backed by a 4000mAh battery, the Nokia 5.3 is said to deliver up to 22 hours of talk time and 18 days of standby time.
