Noida: Murthal Plan After Liquor Party Turns Fatal, 25-Year-Old Woman Killed in Accident

Noida: A plan to go to Murthal for ‘parathas’ after a ‘liquor party’ turned fatal for a 25-year-old woman who was killed after being hit by a speeding car in which she was traveling along with five others, police said. The deceased has been identified as Bhumika Jadoon, a resident of Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh. She used to work in a private management company here.

Police said the injured have been identified as Robin, Prabhash, Arpit, Abhishek and Shweta.

“The hatchback had six passengers, including two women, and it appears that it was moving at a high speed. The driver lost control and hit the divider on the right side of the road. The deceased was sitting behind but due to the collision, additional police Deputy Commissioner (Noida) Ashutosh Dwivedi said, the windshield of the car was shattered and he suffered serious head injuries and died on the spot.

Dwivedi said that when the police spoke to the driver of the car, he said that the vehicle was traveling at a speed of 70-80 kmph, but the evidence showed that the speed was not less than 100 kmph.

He said that after hitting the divider, the car was dragged for about 50 meters and overturned.

“It was a group of friends. They had a party last night where they had drinks. They had planned to go to Murthal where they wanted to have parathas. However, the car met with an accident on the elevated road itself,” Additional DCP told. PTI.

Police said the father of the deceased woman has reached Noida and will lodge a complaint and accordingly, an FIR will be registered in the matter to initiate legal proceedings.

“It is clearly a case of reckless driving and legal action will be taken against the driver,” Dwivedi said.
