Noida: Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has decided to resume its services aqua line between Noida and Greater Noida on Saturday, officials said on Friday.
This decision has been taken in view of the lifting of curfew on Saturday by the Managing Director of NMRC, Uttar Pradesh Government. Ritu Maheshwari Said.
Earlier, as the government imposed curfew on Saturday and Sunday due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Metro Rail service between Noida and Greater Noida also remained suspended for the weekend.
“The Uttar Pradesh government has lifted the weekend curfew on Saturday. NMRC has decided to resume metro rail services on Saturday,” Maheshwari said.
“This change will be effective from August 14. The train will not operate on Sundays as the state government has not lifted the curfew on Sundays,” he said.
The NMRC said that trains run at intervals of 10 minutes during peak hours (8 to 11 am and 5 to 8 pm) and 15 minutes in non-peak hours from Monday to Friday.
Metro train services on Saturdays will be available at 15-minute intervals throughout the day.
Also, from August 14, NMRC said that it will operate its Metro train services from 6 am to 10 pm from Monday to Saturday.
