Water logging is also a major concern during monsoon. After the rain, the area remains waterlogged for several days. The villagers allege that the drains were not cleaned before the rains.
“Sewer water overflows after good rains. When it is abandoned, it gets stored in an open plot near the Roopwas bypass. The issue has been taken up several times with the municipality but hardly any improvement can be seen,” said Sunil Sharma, another resident.
Inaugurating the 15-feet tall statue of Raja Mihir Bhoj on Wednesday, the Chief Minister spoke about his legacy and the contribution made by various local leaders in the freedom struggle. However, the problem of the local people was not solved.
