The remarks by KT Rama Rao came while addressing the state assembly on Saturday during the discussion on the motion of thanks on the Governor’s address.
Industries and IT Minister KT Rama Rao on Saturday bragged about Telangana in terms of overall development, saying the state is a role model for the entire country. Claiming that the state has no shortage of power supply, has the capacity to supply food grains to the entire country, and has no problem with drinking water, he praised Telangana Chief Minister and his father K Chandrasekhar Rao.
“People of the country are looking up to KCR and no one can break his bond with Telangana. No other state may be able to compete with Telangana when it comes to implementation of welfare schemes.”
Acknowledging that there is a family rule under the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), he said, “Yes, we have a family rule but four crore people of Telangana belong to this family. People’s long-standing dream of getting a government job is going to come true and there is flood of money in the state.”
“9 gram panchayats in Telangana have found place in the list of best 20 gram panchayats announced by the central government. The Telangana government has the credit for distributing the money to each and every village in the state. When it comes to agricultural products, Telangana ranked third in the country and farmers across the state have cultivated paddy crop in 65 lakh acres of land,” KT Rama Rao added.
The minister said that the Telangana government deposited Rs 65,000 crore in the bank accounts of 65 lakh farmers under the Rythu Bandhu scheme, which received praise from the United Nations Organization (UNO).
The remarks by KT Rama Rao came while addressing the state assembly on Saturday during the discussion on the motion of thanks on the Governor’s address.
He said that the Telangana government has registered huge achievements in the irrigation sector and also added that the state ranks first in the country in terms of meat supply.
“Telangana is the only state in the country which is paying the highest salaries to Anganwadi workers and has become a role model for the country”, he said, concluding his two-hour speech.
