‘No security certificate from Jamia Millia Islamia for 3 months’. Noida News – Times of India

Greater Noida: Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) will not accept any structural safety certificate Jamia Millia Islamia for buildings in its areas for the next three months, CEO Narendra Bhushan said on Thursday.
Decision taken in meeting with flat owners Noida Extensionwho complained of leakage and leakage in buildings whose safety certificates were issued by the University. The CEO has sought a report on the condition of the buildings by forming a committee of officers of various departments. He has said that even if Jamia is not removed from the GNIDA panel, it will not be allowed to issue the certificate temporarily. If structural flaws are found in other buildings also, he said in its place, IIT-Delhi, IIT-Roorkee and CBRE can issue certificates.
“I am meeting the flat owners of Noida Extension on various issues at our branch office every Wednesday. In the latest meeting, he pointed to seepage and seepage in the basements as well as joints in their building complexes. Since most of the structural safety certificates were cleared by Jamia Millia, I have barred it from issuing any such documents for the next three months. We have written to them about this. I have now asked IIT-Delhi, IIT-Roorkee and CBRE to issue certificates.
He said that soon two IITs or CBREs would be empaneled with GNIDA for issue of safety certificates.
Further, as a measure to resolve pending registry issues with homebuyers, the CEO of GNIDA has devised a scheme under which buyers’ associations will provide a list of the number of units sold in their apartment complexes. The builder will also have to provide details of how much dues have been paid for the units sold.
For this, the CEO of GNIDA has formed a committee under the chairmanship of Additional CEO and officers of Planning, Finance and other departments. This committee will ensure a phase-wise registry of the remaining units after examining the combined list of buyers and builders. If successful, the model could be implemented in all apartment complexes that are experiencing registry problems.
“The scheme will not only help the authority to get revenue but will also ensure that buyers get to register their flats. For this, I have formed a committee under the chairmanship of ACEO. It will also have officers from Finance, Builder and Planning Department of GNIDA. They will sit with builders and buyers and arrive at some recommendations after verification of all documents and units. This may enable phase-wise registry, assuming there are a few towers per apartment complex. If this model is successful, we will implement it in Greater Noida,” Bhushan said.
Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association president Abhishek Kumar informed Bhushan that at least 25,000 units from projects such as Supertech Eco Village 1, 2, 3, Saya Zion, Sky Garden, La Residencia, Victory Forest, etc. were still in the process of registry.
