No progress with Hamas talks in Cairo, Philadephi remains contentious – report

The Hamas meeting with negotiators in Cairo did not lead to progress, a source within Hamas leadership reportedly told Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Mayadeen on Saturday night.

According to the source, Israel’s commitment to maintaining IDF presence in the Philadelphi corridor in the first phase of a deal was rejected by Hamas. The terrorist group reportedly remained committed to the July 2 proposal, rejecting Israeli military presence in the corridor.
