‘No one dares to displace us’: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s resolve for ‘Navreh’ Kashmiri Pandits

new Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said that Kashmiri Pandits should settle in Kashmir next year and they should settle in such a way that no one can uproot them.

Bhagwat was speaking at a virtual event where he addressed the Kashmiri Pandit community on the occasion of Navreh Mahotsav. Three-day event organized by RSS to make Kashmiri Pandits resolve to settle back in Kashmir next year.

During his address, Saffron said, “We (Kashmiri Pandits) are facing the brunt of being displaced from our home in our own country for the last 3-4 decades. It is imperative that we should not accept defeat in this situation and face the challenges.”

He further said, “We left (Kashmir) because of extremism, but when we return now, we will go back as Hindus and ‘Bharat Bhakts’ with assurance of our safety and livelihood. We will live in such a way that no one will Don’t you dare displace us.

Talking about Article 370, Bhagwat said that he had promised to repeal Article 370 which has now become true.

“Earlier I had said that the issue of Kashmiri Pandits would be resolved through public awareness and obstacles like Article 370 should be removed. After 2011, in these 11 years, because of our collective efforts, there is no Art.370,” he said.

He also talked about the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ which talks about the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley in the early 1990s.

“The movie ‘Kashmir Files’ is out which is portraying the story of Kashmiri Pandits. Some people are in favor of it and some are against it. The films have shown the unfortunate reality of the horrific tragedy of Kashmiri Pandits which has left us all stunned.

The film has been in the news for the past few days as it was made tax free by many BJP ruled states.
