The Madhya Pradesh government on Wednesday announced that all COVID-induced restrictions in the state have now been lifted. This decision was taken in a Covid review meeting chaired by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Night curfew has also been lifted.

Public places, social gatherings at full capacity

With the recent announcement, all social, political, sports, entertainment, cultural and religious events will be held in full capacity. Apart from this, weddings and funerals are also allowed to be held at full capacity. Cinema halls, malls, swimming pools, gyms, yoga centers, restaurants, clubs etc. will be able to open at 100% capacity. Schools, colleges, hostels, coaching classes will operate at full capacity.

Vaccine dosage guidelines

  • Students over the age of 18 and all hostel staff are required to apply both doses.
  • Both staff and spectators entering cinema halls are required to be fully vaccinated.
  • Masks and social distancing are strictly mandatory.
  • All government employees should be given both doses of the vaccine.
  • Only those shopkeepers who have received both the doses of the vaccine will be allowed to set up shop in the fairs.
