‘No Curfew, No Danga, UP Mein Sab Changa’: CM Adityanath Sounds Civic Body Poll Bugle in Saharanpur

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday launched the upcoming civic polls campaign from Saharanpur and said that Uttar Pradesh is no longer plagued by curfew and riots, and everything is peaceful now.

Addressing a public meeting at Maharaj Singh Degree College on Janta Road, the Chief Minister said, ‘No curfew, no riots, all is well in UP’.

Adityanath also made a veiled attack on the previous governments and said, “extortion and ransom, now UP is not someone’s property”.

The Chief Minister said that mafia and criminals have now become a thing of the past and Uttar Pradesh has become a symbol of security, prosperity and employment.

Enumerating the achievements of the BJP government in the cities of Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister said, “We have implemented government schemes in the entire state without any discrimination, with everyone’s cooperation, trust and collective effort. We have appointed a qualified doctor as the Mayor of Saharanpur, who will work towards solving all the existing problems. Besides, our police force is strong enough to fight the mafia.”

Describing the region as Uttar Pradesh’s “Frontier District” (Frontier District), the Chief Minister noted its rich heritage, “remarkable woodwork that is renowned across the world, hardworking farmers, visionary and educated young population, and businessmen who contributed significantly highlights the development of industry and trade.”

Emphasizing on the importance of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, he said, “In the last six years, I have visited this district more than a dozen times because I felt an urgent need to do so. The neglect of this region was obvious to me There was no access to electricity, and there were frequent curfews and riots in the area. Saharanpur lacked even the most basic amenities, and it took seven to eight hours to reach Delhi. However, the distance could now be covered in just three hours. And by the end of this year the construction of Delhi-Saharanpur-Dehradun Expressway will be completed.”

Yogi Adityanath also highlighted that the youth of Saharanpur, who earlier had to go to Meerut for higher education, will now get an opportunity to study in their own district with the establishment of Maa Shakambhari University.

Attacking the opposition, the chief minister said the governments before 2017 were busy instigating riots. “Sikh brothers were attacked here as riots broke out at the gurdwara. Today there is no curfew in any part of UP. In the past, due to the terror of miscreants, parents used to shy away from sending their daughters away from home for education. However, a fear-free atmosphere prevails in UP today.

He said, “Those who only talked about casteism exploited their own caste the most.”

Yogi said the state government is working towards creating the best surveillance system in urban areas to ensure the safety of its citizens and mentioned the implementation of the Safe City project, which aims to create a safe environment for businessmen and women in the city. have to provide.
