Hyderabad: Nizamabad Police Police arrested three thieves and recovered eight bikes and two auto rickshaws worth Rs 4.4 lakh from their possession.
The accused are 19-year-old SK Mujahid, a laborer from Chandrashekhar Colony in Nizamabad, Sk Mohsin, 24, from a scrap seller Nizamabad And SK Mateen, 24, a laborer from Maharashtra.

The special team kept a watch on the movements of the suspects and stopped an auto rickshaw coming from Vinayak Nagar on Monday morning during the vehicle check at Borgam bridge in Nizamabad. When the police pelted stones at the auto, the three-wheeler riders abandoned the vehicle and tried to flee from the spot. However, the police caught them and during interrogation the accused admitted to stealing a vehicle in Nizamabad town.
“Gang members steal vehicles parked on roads during night time. We caught them when they were traveling in a stolen auto to dispose of it,” the commissioner said.
Based on the confession of the accused, the police have recovered eight stolen bikes and two auto rickshaws from different places in Nizamabad and Nirmal. The accused have been sent to judicial custody.
