Nitin Gadkari shares breathtaking photo of THIS section of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is one of the most anticipated infrastructure projects in India and will connect India’s political capital with India’s financial capital under PM Narendra Modi’s ambitious Gati Shakti project. The new road is the longest expressway in the world with a length of over 1,380 km. The access-controlled highway will have a total of 8 lanes with space to facilitate expansion to 12 lanes. The construction of the expressway is in full swing and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari keeps sharing updates on the construction of the road.

Gadkari shared photographs of a portion of the highway passing through the Vadodara-Virar section of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The images are breathtaking to say the least and reveal the quality of design and construction of the new road. Earlier, Gadkari shared photographs of the stretch of the highway connecting the Khanpur Valley and the Haryana/Rajasthan border.

The minister shared the image of the expressway, which looks all set to support high-speed road connectivity between the country’s two biggest metro cities. In fact, the minister claims that the government under the leadership of PM Modi will provide world-class roadways to Indian citizens, tweeting, “Under the leadership of PM Shri @narendramodi ji, we are ensuring world-class roadways for Indian citizens . ,

Delhi-Mumbai Expressway route

The expressway will cost Rs 98,000 crore to be built and will improve connectivity between national capital Delhi and financial capital Mumbai. The expressway will connect urban centers in Delhi through the Delhi-Faridabad-Sohna section of the corridor, as well as connect Jewar Airport and Jawaharlal Nehru Port to Mumbai via a spur in Mumbai.

Features of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

In addition, the Ministry of Road Transport is planning to build an electric highway between Delhi and Mumbai at a cost of 2.5 lakh crores. According to the ministry, trolleybuses and trolley trucks will be able to run on these highways. Trolley buses are electric buses powered by overhead wires, whereas an electric highway is a road that provides electricity to vehicles traveling on it, including overhead power lines.
