The famous TV serial Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2 is going to take a leap of 20 years. Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar starrer TV show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain was a breath of fresh air when it started airing in 2011. After seven years, the show returns to TV screens Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar as Ram and Priya in 2021. As per reports, the original leads, Disha Parmar and Nakuul Mehta opted out of the show as they were not keen on ageing.
As per the latest buzz, Niti Taylor and Randeep Rai are all set to play the lead characters of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2. The actress, who was away from television for almost two years, made a triumphant comeback with Jhalak. Dikhhla Jaa 10. Reports suggest that Niti will be seen playing the role of Ram and Priya’s daughter Pihu. Meanwhile, the details of Randeep’s character have been kept under wraps. Niti Taylor can be seen reprising her role as Nandini Murthy in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan 4.
Randeep was seen in the hit show Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai opposite Ashi Singh on Sony TV. He was also recently seen in Balika Vadhu 2 opposite Shivangi Joshi. Randeep was recently in news for his off-screen relationship with Shivangi Joshi. He also recently made a brief appearance in Zee TV’s Meet. Hiten Tejwani will also join the two actors and will play Lakhan, who is Ram’s younger brother. As per media reports, welcoming the generation leap, new cast and new twist, Ram and Priya will die in a fatal car accident in a sequence in the show.
In a recent interview, Nakuul admitted that he loves Ram Kapoor’s character, but he cannot contribute anything new to the show post the leap. On the other hand, Disha has also opened up about her decision and said that she is not looking forward to aging on screen. Speaking to the same portal, Disha had said, “Even before the makers introduced the leap and I had to play the role of a mother of a five-year-old girl, I had my apprehensions. But then the track was very interesting and I enjoyed it. I decided to go ahead with it and it was a great experience.
