School sources said some children started displaying symptoms including red spots on the face a few days back

Nine students and a teacher of a government primary school in Govindpur village of Sohan development block in the district have been found infected with chickenpox, doctors said on Sunday.

Superintendent of Community Health Center (Narhi) Dr. Saket Bihari Sharma said that nine children of primary school have been found infected.

School sources said some of the children had started displaying symptoms including red spots on the face a few days ago.

The information about the children getting infected was received on Friday. Sharma said that acting on the information, the health department teams started their treatment and also made efforts to prevent further spread of the disease.
