Nine more dengue cases found in Prayagraj, the number of infected increased to 1,028. Allahabad News – Times of India

Prayagraj: Nine new dengue cases were reported in Sangam city on Tuesday, taking the number of infected to 1,028. New cases were reported from Salori (1), Rasoolabad (1), Kalindipuram (1), Alopibagh (1), Railgaon (1). Preetam nagar(1), Naini (1), Korov (1 more Table (1).
Of the nine cases detected, seven were from city areas, while the remaining two were from rural areas. Moreover, out of the total 1,028 cases of dengue in the district so far, 758 have been reported in urban areas, while the rest 270 in rural areas.
Health department officials, however, claimed that there has been a decrease in dengue cases in the district which is proved by the data of the last 48 hours. On Monday, Sangam City reported 11 cases, while the cases reported on Tuesday were only nine.
However, after the detection of new dengue cases in urban areas, anti-larva spraying campaign has been intensified in the city areas including Salori, Alopibagh, Naini. Preetam Nagar, Rasulabad and surrounding areas.
A senior health official said that health teams are still continuously sensitizing people about preventive measures to check the spread of dengue and appealed to them to use mosquito nets and repellents. He said that we are also conducting door-to-door campaigns and surveys in the infected colonies and urban areas of the city.
The fogging and anti-larva spraying exercise has also been intensified in the identified areas of the city and trans-Ganga and Yamuna areas, the official said.
